Greetings From Da Burgh!
From Da Burgh...a photographic celebration of the city thru its sights...Life as it happens AND ART as it happens while riding a bus or while waiting on a bus or while strolling thru its neighborhoods.

This is why there is a Mother's Day...MOM's do stuff like this aw da time,
like chaufering a School Science project to school on the PAT bus, to
ensure it arrives safely without a broken piece, cuz we worked too
hard to have even 1 planet broken or missing, (aw naw had to get a
nail job afterwards) Here's to MOMs around da world...Greetings
From Da Burgh!

It's almost Spring in da Burgh, just playing possum, went near it and the
thing started to snarl and growl, ROFL!
02/2011

After a 61 degree Friday, Monday February 21st, dropped over 7inches
of snow on da Burgh! Spring hurry up!

Black and Yellow Pride only n da Burgh!

After Light Up Night...

Dangerous jobs in da Burgh include painting the BNY Mellon building

Da Burgh is a sports city, we support our teams...will post a pic that
says go pens

Last days of summer...what would they be without Gus and YaYa sellin' snow-
cones, peanuts and popcorn on the Northside, by the tennis courts, across from
CCAC (another one of my Alma Maters). I understand he paid off a home, put his
kids thru college with this simple stand.

I always feel like somebody's watchin' me...this fountain is soothing, yet
I don't get the eyes. Our fair City has artwork placed throughout, like my
theme says, while ridin' on a PAT bus, life as it happens; art as it happens.

So serene that this park goer fell asleep...only in da Burgh! Not a worry
in the world, one of the reasons that I have grown to love this City. Oh
yeah, the eyes are chairs.
A Bone Of Contention

This statue of Stephen Foster and banjo playing slave has been the topic of heated
discussions since I arrived at the University of Pittsburgh in Da 'Burgh back
in the mid-80's...why?!

Lil donut shop in da Strip

Street scenes from our recent snow, affectionately referred to as Snowmageddon! Dumped
18 inches of snow with 6-12 more to come?

SNOW PLOW MAAAAN...Schools close, roads disappear, grown men weep...Snow Day!
The trouble with weather forecasting is that it's right too often for us to ignore it and wrong
too often for us to rely on it. ~Patrick Young

OMG Shepard Fairey siting...

Shepard Fairey artwork sitings n da Burgh!
Red hots...get your red hots here! Grant Street hotdog cart.

Part of the City's efforts to be more 'Green'

Some Alien Life form disguised as ART on the North Side. But is it Art? Looks like a car crushed into a round ball.

Soooo...my co-worker sends me this photo that her cousin from Hot-Lanta sent to her regarding the recent snowfall there.

Her cousin excitedly tells her that only she and 2 other people showed up at work and that they sent the snow plows out! Look at the photo carefully since as my co-worker described it as snow dust. LOL! They didn't send the plows out in da Burgh until it had snowed off and on for about a week and a half...aaaaand, the side streets still haven't been plowed!
